The Role: SVP of Creative Marketing

Key Responsibilities

As the SVP of Creative Marketing, you will spearhead the creative marketing team, adopting an internal agency model that integrates creative/social, production, design, and operations. Reporting directly to the EVP Franchise Management, your primary focus will be to:

Lead and Evolve the Team: Manage a diverse team of 15+ marketing leads across various functions, transforming them into a high-performing unit capable of handling 20+ active series.
360 Marketing Campaigns: Strategize and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns for television-driven intellectual properties (IP), with a special emphasis on adult-targeted series premiering on major streaming platforms.
Collaborate with Partners: Develop strong relationships with streaming and linear partners to effectively represent studio marketing efforts in all platform launch campaigns and activations.
Social-First Marketing: Transition the team into a social-first organization, focusing on nurturing fan communities through relevant social platforms, creative formats, and influencer programs.
Marketing Operations: Implement efficient workflows and processes across on-set shoots, approvals, project management, and asset management using advanced software and technology.
Event Activations: Lead creative efforts for major event activations, such as San Diego Comic-Con, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Content Strategies: Support franchise management by developing content strategies that sustain IP revenue between seasons.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

Extensive Experience: At least 15 years in creative marketing within the television or streaming industry, with a proven track record of leading teams in an agency-type environment.
Creative Vision: Demonstrated success in crafting creative visions for successful streaming campaigns, including key art, trailers, social content, and activations.
Versatility: Ability to work across multiple genres, from live-action drama and comedy to animation and children’s content.
Strategic Thinking: Adept at business strategy and modeling, with a strong understanding of global asset management and a mindset geared towards leveraging AI platforms for enhanced ROI.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire and mentor teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Advertising, Fine Arts, Film, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary for the SVP of Creative Marketing position ranges from $255K to $330K, with potential eligibility for annual incentives and comprehensive benefits. The final offer will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, and location.
